About Us

HISTORY OF CURWENSVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Curwensville-Pike Twp. Historical Society was an idea by a 14-year old local youth.

Formed in March of 1978 after the late William "Smokey" Osborn reached out to community leaders on the need for this type of organization.

In the Fall of 1989, The Korb House was donated by E. Furman Korb a family member of the late Mildred Korb Houser.

In May of 2025, The Curwensville Area Historical Society moved across the street to the The Patton House previously known as

Bearsdley Funeral Home  from Kevin and Ann Beardsley,
